Ryan L. Blumhoefer
Ryan L. Blumhoefer joined the firm in 2010 and now serves as its managing partner. His practice focuses on business and commercial transactions, real estate law, estate planning and probate, and estate administration.
Ryan is certified as a Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association and is an agent of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.
Outside of work, Ryan can be found spending time with his wife, Emily, or chasing their three daughters to their various activities. Ryan is also a member of the Rotary Club of Northfield and Bethel Lutheran Church, and has served on the board of numerous civic organizations in the Northfield area.
Ryan grew up on a farm in south central Minnesota. He received his undergraduate degree from Saint John’s University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors of arts degree in economics. He received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was an assistant editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.

Kristin L. Yahnke
Kristin joined the firm in 2017 and became a partner in 2021. She represents clients in estate planning, special needs planning, elder law, probate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, business and commercial transactions, and real estate law. Kristin works closely with clients in evaluating their goals and objectives, educating them on available options and executing their personalized plans.
Prior to joining Blumhoefer, Yahnke, and Lancaster LLP, Kristin was an attorney at a boutique law firm in coastal North Carolina and worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte in Minneapolis. Kristin received her undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She received her law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was active in the elder law and advanced elder law clinics of the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services as a certified student attorney.
Kristin lives in Northfield with her husband, Tyler, and their four young children. She formerly served as the co-chair of the board of directors at Northfield Montessori for three years and is currently serving on the Merchants Bank Advisory Board. Kristin’s two sons are both blessed with an extra chromosome and she is passionate about Down syndrome advocacy, spending a lot of her free time volunteering, raising awareness, and raising money for various nonprofits. She also loves spending time with family, being active outdoors, reading a good book, and traveling.

Tricia M.N. Lancaster
Tricia joined the firm in 2020 and became a partner in 2023. Tricia focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and estate administration, real estate, and business transactions. She also advises employers on matters related to hiring, termination, and performance management, and assists employers and employees with employment contracts, employee policies, and other agreements. Tricia also serves as outside counsel to Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric.
Prior to joining the firm, Tricia served as Senior Corporate Counsel for several years at a privately owned print and communications company in Mankato, Minnesota, where she provided advice and counsel to business leaders on employment and other business matters.
Tricia grew up on a farm in south central Minnesota and received a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude in English and political science from Gustavus Adolphus College and a juris doctor, cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. While at Hamline, Tricia was a production editor for the Journal of Public Law and Policy and a recipient of the Constance L. Bakken Research Fellowship. Following law school, Tricia clerked for the Hon. Terri J. Stoneburner with the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Tricia lives in Northfield with her husband, Mark, and their daughters, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, basketball and other sports, and a variety of outdoor activities.
